I was put-off by this article because I find the Infiniti M-Series to be a very attractive car. It looks long (with a nice long hood more like a sports car), with a wide stance, and a beltline that gradually sweeps up into the rear which makes it look substantial on the road (allowing more rear seat space too), complete with the dual exhuast. The right alloys really set this car off stunningly. The interior is a little something different too - gorgeous leather, although I don't love the look of the Rosewood. Another would would complement it better and would look less IKEA-like.
From what I've read elsewhere, one of M's greatest attributes is how it drives. It's more BMW-like than most other competitors, and the V8 is blazingly quick, roomier, at far less cost. Maybe because they tested the X version, it didn't feel as sporty as a RWD non-X. In this segment, I think it's a top contender if you're not looking to spend $75Gs on a highly contented mid-sized luxury car.
