You may discuss our cover story of the day in this thread....
Test Drive:
2005 Nissan Frontier NISMO Off-Road Crew Cab 4X4
2005 Nissan Frontier NISMO Off-Road Crew Cab 4X4The all-new Nissan Frontier is well positioned to attract more interest from the traditional domestic truck buyer as its new size, big power and rugged good looks give it real curb appeal, says Russell Purcell. "The Frontier NISMO satisfies a lot of needs in one fell swoop..for an entry price that won't break the bank," he says.  .     More...

The new Frontier is what the original 98 one should be in day 1.

Don't like that interior. Haven't been impressed with most of Nissan's interior designs. Their Infiniti models are better, but still not a whole lot of improvement.

Sounds like a great engine. But that interior shot reminds me of 80's vintage Japanese interiors.

I agree with the interior....80's Japanese design and plastic quality.  Some bits are nice but the overall feel is well short of the competition from Honda/Toyota.

I was just going to say that for once, Nissan had designed a decent interior (for a truck, that is). I'm sure it's all cheap plastic, but design and functionality wise, it seems to be ok. Nice big dials for climate controls, radio with big enough buttons. Someone with gloves on could control change climate settings without having to remove his gloves. I don't know, I think this interior is acceptable for its purpose.

Then again, for $38k base price, I'd expect better material quality... but still... design wise, it's pretty good IMO.

:spam:, it's a truck.  Who cares what the interior is like because it will be dirty most of the time anyways.   ::)

Only if it is used AS A TRUCK rather than as an over-sized commuter.  >:D  ;D

Indeed.  I doubt many Frontiers will see much dirt.  :'(

Many new trucks are purchased with a dual purpose in mind.  That would be okay if they got decent gas mileage.  My little Ford Ranger 4x4 supercab gets between 18 and 22 mpg, which is pretty crappy.  I would imagine that the new Frontier (et al) doesn't do much better.
